Hey there beautiful people! It's Black History Month and we are thrilled to celebrate it with each and every one of you. In honor of this special month, we have decided to create a blog-post-styled book club that will be focused on celebrating Black authors and their beautiful works of art.
One book that has been sitting in our cart for ages is "Sula" by Toni Morrison. However, thanks to the inspiration of @lauxrenzo (Instagram), who recently posted about reading "Song of Solomon" by Toni Morrison, we have been inspired to finally dive into "Sula" and we can't wait to share our thoughts with you.
Starting the week of February 5th, we will be posting a weekly question (within this same blog post) to spark an ongoing conversation about a few chapters in the book. We want you to feel free to chime in and join us. You can post a video or write a text comment of your reaction to the prompt. We want to create a space where we can all come together and have a good time discussing this amazing book.
To give you a preview of what "Sula" is about, check out this video: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT8WWctgR/ posted by @book.girlfriends on TikTok. We hope you enjoy it and we can't wait to dive into this book with you all. Let's celebrate Black History Month together!
